Ivan Skubin, Anton Tratnik

Ivan Skubin uses ceramics to tell stories about life and the expressive power of the material he chose as his medium. His works combine realistic, expressive, and abstract elements, with the human figure and symbolic meaning at the center. He is recognized as an established artist both in Slovenia and internationally. Anton Tratnik primarily creates black-and-white photographs of urban scenes, marked by strong geometric lines and the interplay of light and shadow. He expands beyond a documentary approach through atmosphere, aesthetics, and a timeless portrayal of everyday life.

Jadranka Ferjančič, Gregor Maver, Andrej Perko

Jadranka Ferjančič explores form, color combinations, and the effects of glazes in her work with clay. Gregor Maver focuses on individual identity, time, and the archive as an artistic relationship. Andrej Perko presents the photographic series Terra mirabilis, captured at the Slano blato landslide, where constantly changing landscapes reveal a variety of forms.

Silva Karim and Katarina Spacal

The exhibition presents two artists, both members of the Fine Artists Association of Northern Primorska. Although they may appear different at first glance, their approaches to artistic expression and creation are, in fact, remarkably similar. On this occasion, Silva Karim presents Sculptures of Peace and Silence, created using the fired clay technique. Katarina Spacal has dedicated herself to unique hand-weaving, producing wall-mounted woven artworks on old wooden looms.

Samo Perpar – Murmuring Between Paintings

Samo Perpar belongs to Generation ’82, which significantly marked Slovenian painting in the 1980s with a new expressive, gestural abstraction. His painting is grounded in the power of color, the energy of broad brushstrokes, and the rhythmic movement of forms, often connected to music, which accompanies his creative process. His works are distinguished by strong expressiveness and a direct, sensory visual address that emphasizes the physicality of the gesture and the intensity of the painting process.

Association of Slovenian Designers and Jani Bavčer – Embryonic Stroke

The exhibition Embryonic Stroke offers a concise insight into the visual thinking of Slovenian designers and the role of drawing as the fundamental tool in the formation of ideas. Drawing is presented as a direct, authentic record of thoughts and feelings, and as a key medium for developing, testing, and understanding design concepts in today’s technologically shaped world.

Nik Anikis – Neo Renesansa

Nik Skušek Anikis is a Slovenian painter of the younger generation, established both at home and abroad for his technically highly refined neo-Renaissance aesthetic. He works within classical realism and neo-Renaissance imaginative painting, which he enriches with visionary motifs, symbols, and archetypes.
